Solve Problems - Get Resources from the Future to Solve Your Problems Now

When a hypnotherapist desires to help a person solve specific problem, but doesn’t know what would work for that particular person and for the issue at hand, he takes the person into the future, to a point in time when the problem has been resolved and the person has been enjoying the desired state for some time, perhaps a year already. Then, the hypnotherapist may say to the person’s mind something along the lines “Tell me what exactly did I do that helped you to get your desired outcome.” The person tells the steps and the hypnotherapist feeds them back to the person, exactly as the person’s mind suggested.

Whether you are a hypnotherapist or you are practicing self-hypnosis, a good place to begin, when you are stuck with a perplexing situation, is to realize that - as a Course in Miracles suggests - “all of your problems have already been solved”, and then simply ask for the solution and open yourself to experience the solution. The solution may be totally different than anything that has ever even crossed your mind, so it is important to let go of any preconceived ideas and open yourself fully and completely to the infinite wisdom of your higher (subconscious, Superconscious, unconscious) mind.

If you are not aware of how this works in your life, just pick some action movie and pay attention to the relationship between the element of time and the actions involved. Whenever a filmmaker desires to get your adrenalin level up, he puts a time limit on some situation which is crucial for the wellbeing of a hero. When the clock starts ticking, the stress level goes up.

Then look at your own life and at some situations from your life that have been the most stressful for you. How would they have been different if you had all the time in the world to solve the problem or if you had an instant access to the perfect solution?

Everything that has a form, everything that has a beginning or an end, can exist only in time and space. If you take out time and space, by imagining how would you or any particular thing be in terms of eternity, in terms of that which remains constant throughout time, soon you will realize that it is possible only by letting go of its form, by going beyond the form - in your imagination. In a way, you do this - at least unconsciously - every night while you are deeply asleep, when you are not even dreaming. This is a necessary state which allows your mind to rest and your body to regenerate. People who meditate spend more time in this “timeless” state - and as a consequence they often look younger, because what you do with your mind influences your body.

Ordinarily you would think that quitting smoking is the same for both sexes. Whether you are a man or woman there can be a variety of common reasons for starting smoking in the first place and another range of common reasons for quitting smoking across the sexes. Whilst on the surface this may appear true, there are important differences to understand which can definately aid quitting smoking for women.

According to research women start smoking and quit smoking for different reasons to men. For instance weight control is seen as a perceived benefit of smoking. Although smoking can help with weight control it does not help as much as it is perceived to help. As a clinical hypnotherapist I invariably ask my female clients who want to stop smoking this question “What would you rather deal with, a few extra pounds of weight or cancer?”. Often the response will be that they fear the extra weight. Of course this can be because the weight gain can seem more immediate and possible, whereas cancer seems more distant and less likely to happen.

4) Introduce more water into your daily lifestyle even if it is just a couple of glasses of water a day. A glass of water that is taken 10 minutes before a meal will take the edge of your appetite.
